This low-impact, distributed global experiment will feed into an established international network and deliver data on the effect of altered precipitation on community processes including establishment and migration, productivity, and flammability across vegetation types most likely to change under future scenarios.

MountainFlows

Real-time measures of physiochemical water parameters and biotic sampling paired with mesocosm manipulations of flow and temperature will yield critical data to quantify the effects of altered precipitation and warming on freshwater community dynamics, water quality and catchment health.

AMON

Australian Mountain Observation Network: Elegant sensor arrays will deliver key transdisciplinary data on effect of climate on landscape and ecosystem processes (e.g. carbon and water fluxes, productivity and flammability) for emerging systems models and adaptive management. Community level changes in vegetation structure, flora/fauna composition, phenology assessed regularly.

FutureClim

Light footprint climate control chambers for realistic, replicated, factorial field simulation of future warming and precipitation regimes. Studies will advance the science of quantifying and predicting adaptive capacity with direct relevance to management prioritisation.

Heatwave Equipment

Portable chambers provide acute elevated temperatures in short stature vegetation communities. Controlled, active heating can be applied for experiments lasting days in duration.

Mobile Lab

Towable facility perfect for research, teaching, and outreach in remote areas. Equipped with basic laboratory facilities such as an oven, sink, stoves, power, and labware.
